Andrea Clark, Senior Researcher
Andrea Clark is an experienced researcher with specialist knowledge in monitoring and evaluation frameworks and the use of participatory video in research and evaluation activities. Andrea has demonstrated strengths in project management, strategic planning, policy analysis, and applied social research and evaluation. Since 2003, she has completed research and evaluation projects across a number of sectors including education, justice, health and environmental sustainability for central government, university and not for profit clients. Andrea has worked as a policy advisor at the Department of Corrections and at Te Puni Kōkiri undertaking performance audits of Government projects to improve outcomes for Māori. Andrea strongly believes in the importance of evidence-based decision making and the need for strategic planning to be informed by fit for purpose monitoring and evaluation and organisational capacity assessments. Andrea holds a BA in Sociology and Criminology, Postgraduate Diplomas in Social Research and Social Sector Evaluation, and has completed specialist training in participatory video and participatory rural appraisal methods. Andrea is currently completing a PhD in management with a focus on collaborations and systems thinking.
Dr Jeff Foote, Senior Research Associate
Jeff is a systems thinker with expertise in applying systemic and participatory methods to support decision makers to manage complex and uncertain issues that arise in strategic planning, evaluations and collaborations. Since 2000 Jeff has worked closely with a variety of stakeholders including central and local government agencies, private companies, hapū and community groups in areas as diverse as community environmental management, marae drinking water and onsite wastewater management, health service delivery, and primary production. Jeff holds a BTech(Hons) in Industrial Operations Research, a MTech(Hons) in Manufacturing & Industrial Technology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health (Health Economics), a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health and a PhD in Management Systems. Jeff collaborates with Social Foci on projects requiring systems thinking expertise.
Amy Evans, Researcher
Amy is a recent addition to Social Foci and contributes her considerable experience in administration, community event management and marketing to organisational capacity assessments. A natural multi-tasker with excellent analytical skills, Amy supports Andrea and Jeff to undertake research and evaluation activities across projects. Amy holds a BA in English literature and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tourism Management and Marketing.
